Daniel is a confident climber.  He'd never seen a piece of equipment like this, but he eagerly learned how to climb in the hexagon shaped ropes.

Hitching Up

Daniel did some arranging of toys in the living room while we packed to leave for the weekend.  He is very interested in "hitching up" these days, and made a very long train/wagon out of all the toys he could find in the living room.

Chocolate Shake

We stopped by Sonic for cool treats on a 104 degree afternoon.  Daniel enjoyed a miniature chocolate shake.   This is one of his favorite foods!

Building Blocks.

We found some Mega Blocks at a yard sale. We decided to wash them up in the pool, and then Daniel decided to wash himself up in the pool. Then he decided to build towers in the pool.

We had errands to run in the morning, and both kids were obediently waiting on the bench as I loaded up the car. Daniel wanted to take his blue bat from Uncle Wes with us into the stores.

Sunday Date with Mom

I've been taking Daniel out one on one each week.  This time it was to celebrate that he was a calm boy during church service.  We looked for puzzles for him to do at "the Barns" (Barnes and Noble), watched kids on the carosel, and then shopped for new, two size larger sneakers.  We ate lunch at Panera, and he gobbled up a PBJ, yogurt, and my Mac n Cheese.

Using a telescope

He loves the Telescope Park, so we went there together on a quiet Saturday morning.  I spent the morning with just him, and we tried to do some of his favorite things.   The telescope is on the top of a tall play structure, and it is more of a kalidescope.  Daniel could see children on swings and some trees below.  He told me about all the things he could see and wanted to be sure to look for insects.  We heard many cicadas.  He said he was spying on them.

Megablock Buildings

Daniel loves to build and really enjoys Mega Blocks this summer.
