New Baby News and Gift.

Daniel's gift was the second one, the blue bag.

The tag said, "To the NEW big brother."

Inside was a celebratory gift - an amazing MQueen car.

New Nativity Set.

On December 1st, we gave the kids a Christmas gift.  Daniel AND Elsa helped unwrap, but Daniel was more excited about the gift.  He instantly told us who each person was, but was really drawn to the small wagon and hooked it up to the donkey, cow, camel, and sheep.  

I hope he gets a lot of enjoyment from this special Christmas manger scene toy and it helps to bring the Bible and our Faith to life for him.

New Toy - More Bath Time Fun!

Nana's friend Miss Sue bought a special gift for Daniel.  Its a toy boat that floats and scoops water.  (Its also made of recycled plastics!)  He really enjoyed scooping the water in this bath time because the more he scooped, the more the bubbles frothed up!

With Aunt Jessica

Daniel hasn't seen Aunt Jessica as much as Aunt Rachel, but with the way she hands out affection and presents, I know he remembers about her!

She brought him a gift for the baby shower so he would be entertained.  It was thoughtful.

Its a drum.  We actually left it at my parents' house, but he noticed it was missing from our toy chest.

 He also got a large, heavily frosted cookie from his Aunt, which he shoved in his mouth as soon as he saw it.

With all that sugar and the noise, he was in HEAVEN.

But he still licked the staircase, for some reason.

Opening Sister's Presents

Our friends the Hoemann's sent a shower gift for his sister, but Daniel was really excited about them anyway.  He opened up both presents and tried to wear both - baby shoes (purple, size 6 months) and colorful flower bibs.

Valentine's Gift From Daddy

Last year, DHH also got a Valentine's Day balloon.  This year, he automatically knew how to play with it.  He ran it around the house, played his favorite game of UP!! and (quietly) down with the balloon, knocked it around, and was generally very, very silly with it.

This year he recognizes cartoon characters, and he does really enjoy Mickey Mouse (actually, he likes every single mouse he's ever seen!).  He points at the characters and giggles.

Opening a gift from Aunt Jessica

It was a singing dog.

He liked it and it made him nervous.

A fish lamp from Nana.  This is his most fascinating gift.

A very large package from Aunt Rachel.

Its a parking garage toy.

Daniel got several other gifts, but these are the only photos I have of him opening his gifts.  He moved so quickly away from the camera and had to be coerced to sit still to open up presents.  He really wasn't interested in any wrapped presents... he liked the ones that had just been unwrapped better, as well as the shiny bows.
