Where Daniel Wanted To Sleep

We had a full five minute argument about why he should not nap inside a plastic tote.

Library Play

Daniel had a great time and the library. He enjoyed the organized activities and the dollhouse. He arranged the furniture and made a play scene with a dad doll, grandfather doll, and Daniel doll.

DDD for Sept 14, 2012

This morning I decided to make hot tea because I felt chilly. Both
kids wanted some, too! I put an ice cube in and started to get the sip
cups ready, but both insisted in drinking from mugs. Daniel drank as
much tea as I did!

Mopping

Tonight one of Daniel's wishes was fulfilled.

He got to help mop the floor.

He has been begging for a child's mop and tonight I modified a cleaning tool into a kid size mop. He took his work seriously and did a fair job.

He has even asked for a child size mop for Christmas!

Afternoon Play

Helping in the Kitchen

Daniel wants to be known as a good helper.  He helps me as much as he helps his father. I think its because Thomas the Train always talks about being a Really Useful Engine / Really Helpful Engine. 

On this morning, I had planned for Elsa to be the one to do the waffle mix stirring, but Daniel came up to help, too.

Current Hobby: Making Forts

This year Daniel has really enjoyed making tents or forts out of blankets.  

He started to make them himself with only a small amount of help from parents.  If there are many clean blankets out in the living room, you can be assured he will unfold them all and use them to make a fort.

He made this fort by himself.

He used it to hide from his sister and play a Thomas the Train game on my  iPhone.
