Daniel Loves His Family!
Many times each day Daniel tells me "I just love my whole family" and he has so big love in his heart. His affection towards his siblings is a great demonstration of his love.

Wooden floors at excellent for hotwheels, we've found. He played with Elsa so good for a few hours with the tracks. They had fun together.

Bike Rides with Sister
There is a reason why there are no shots of Daniel riding his bike... He is too fast! He loves coasting around the sidewalk and feels cool riding in the cul de sac street.

Potentially Embarrassing Photos for Big Brother
Its really rare to see these two in the tub together these days. Elsa always wants to get out when he is getting in because they have a hard time cooperating with sharing tub space and tub toys. Here's a rare glimpse of a happy bath over-lap.
Sister in a Box
Elsa went into Daniel's room while he was playing trains with his dad and didn't ask to play or join in. She climbed into the storage box and made herself at home for a nap.
This thrilled Daniel. Both kids liked her being inside the box, lid closed, with various toys and flashlights inside.
Both kids also liked Daniel pushing Elsa around the house in her box, too.
Daniel tried the box out and liked it, but he is really too large for it to have as much fun as she did!

In a Cage. With a Sister. In a Home Tour.
This one wasn't Daniel's idea, but he did follow through with and help his sister with her plan to climb in an extra large cat cage and play cats and giggle until the adults came into the room and had shocked reaction.
He loved doing this and said it was like a play house.
I said, "Good grief."

Cheese and JammEEs
That is what Daniel is saying in this photo. They are his first footed pjs in a year. He got them from Nanny and they are Dr. Seuss. He likes how cozy they are. To get their photo, I asked them to hold hands by the Christmas tree. Elsa loves to hold her brother's hand, as you see.

Sticky Window Project.
This is a good example of preschool projects we do out our house every few days. On the days we do not do a formal activity that involves cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, we read for an hour together. Daniel has such an appetite for books! I love it. He also has an appetite for creating new things and novelty experiences, like making this "sticky window".
He had the idea to stick little paper shapes he's punched the prior week to the window and sorted them in a muffin tin first. His sister helped quite a lot too - doing her share of spilling AND sticking objects to the window.
Daniel especially liked the opacity of the window and PEEKing through it.

Brother, Sister, Mother Time.
These photos are from the first weekend of March, when Dan was busy doing urban search and rescue training. The kids and I had a lot of time together, and it was one of the first times I felt as if we were a threesome enjoying each other's company.
We had such a pleasant Saturday that I took the kids to their first restaurant experience with me - Taco Store aka El Jimador. They both enjoyed the food, and we split ONE meal the three of us!
