I changed the sensory tub to beans and provided DHH with several different materials made of metal. I wanted to see how he reacted to the sound of beans hitting the metal and being noisy. He thought it was neat! He also kept finding the white beans and saying; "White. BEEEEAN." He also enjoyed rolling in the beans after he dumped them onto the blanket!
Shaking beans out of a blueberry container - he noticed the holes were too small to shake the beans out compared to the rice we'd used the containers with before. He asked me to "BIG holes, Mama", so I cut a few."
We do the sensory tubs about 3 days per week, and he still enjoys scooping, pouring, sifting, dumping, transferring, and pushing the objects.
