Daniel REALLY likes the baby.

I can tell because he makes the same squeaky, happy noises he makes when he sees cute kittens and hamsters.  He always wants to touch my belly, look at it, share drinks or pacifiers with it, and kiss it.  Tonight he lay down on my belly and just held and hugged it.  His sister kicked him in the face a lot in response to his humming, and he pushed back.  It was really, really sweet.  I know that Daniel likes cuddling and likes me, but we talk about babies a lot too, and somehow we think he understands about SISTER.
